The Anxious Fireman was born out of my own struggles with anxiety. After years of fighting it, I sought help and support.
From this the Anxiuos Fireman was born on Twitter as I began to talk openly about my mental health.
Companies and radio shows brought me in to talk about my experience and the fire was lit!
Through a process of therapy, medication, self discovery and learning to develop my ideas around mental health and build my knowledge.
I was asked to build a wellbeing team within the Fire Service and through this trained to be a mental health first aid instructor.
I trained to Masters Level in Psychotherapy and worked in some highly challenging placements.
I now combine being a front line manager in the Fire and Rescue Service, being a highly qualified psychotherapist and mental health professional and being a very experienced instructor to bring you un-parallelled training in mental health.
I always keep fire in my life!

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can give you skills to openly talk about and face these emotions.
Psychosis is characterised by an impaired relationship with reality. And it is a symptom of serious mental disorders. People who are psychotic may have either hallucinations or delusions. I can show you how to keep that person safe.
